Science 1 starts students on the path of scientific inquiry with an introduction to the senses, heat, sound, animals, and heavenly bodies--presenting God as the Creator of all things.
Science 2 teaches the student how to use science process skills to learn and tell about Gods creation. The program focuses on what scientists do, living things, plants, environments, fossils and dinosaurs, the layers and features of the earth, how the earth moves, natural resources, light, forces and motion, and how the body works. The student develops his science process skills as he participates in hands-on activities and projects.
Science 3 provides age-appropriate scientific information through text, charts, and colorful photographs and illustrations. The 3rd grade science educational materials also contains detailed instructions for all experiments, activities, and projects. The last page of each chapter provides key terms and concepts as well a brief writing activity to exercise higher-level thinking skills.
Science 4 allows students to explore creation through an understandable and engaging presentation of text, diagrams, photographs, and illustrations. This elementary science educational materials contains instructions for interactive experiments, projects, and activities. It promotes higher-level thinking skills through brief writing exercises. The textbook discusses a spectrum of scientific fields including ecosystems, plants, insects, the eye, the digestive system, and principles of motion and energy.
Science 5 explores God’s creation in a study of minerals and rocks, fossils, matter and heat, sound and light, weather, ecosystems, and the respiratory and circulatory systems. Students develop science process skills by participating in hands-on activities and projects. The Science 5 student text provides fascinating scientific information through understandable text, charts, diagrams, and colorful photographs and illustrations. The student text also contains detailed instructions for all experiments, activities, and projects.
Science 6 reveals the incredible intricacies of cells and organisms, matter and energy, astronomy, heredity, the nervous system, and the immune system. This elementary science educational materials include exciting, but manageable science experiments and science projects.
Life Science provides a thorough overview of the life sciences in a new two-volume set with larger formatting and single-column text. Students will explore the living world from cellular biology and genetics to zoology and ecology.
Earth Science guides students in an examination of God’s handiwork. Affirming the young earth creationist view of the Earth’s history and disproving the evolutionary views pervading the scientific community and modern culture, the science educational materials presents an engaging study of scientific philosophies and models, meteorology, geology, and oceanography.
Physical Science is an exciting and engaging introduction to the world of physics and chemistry. Designed and written for the 9th-grade level, it provides an essential foundation for subsequent science courses, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. It builds a foundation of basic knowledge regarding matter and measurements early in the text, then furnishes the student with the key principles and scientific laws of classical physics, thermodynamics, electricity, magnetism, sound, light, and optics.
Biology shows your student God’s power and glory in creation as he learns about cellular biology, genetics, taxonomy, microbiology, botany, zoology, and human anatomy. When studying topics such as creation and evolution, human cloning, abortion, and stem cell research, students are pointed to Scripture as the ultimate authority and are encouraged to develop a biblical perspective about these topics.
Chemistry (3rd ed.) guides students in investigations of atomic theory, chemical composition and reactions, stoichiometry, gases, thermodynamics, kinetics, and more. The chemistry text promotes analytical thinking and inductive problem-solving skills through many exciting chemistry experiments.
Physics offers classical mechanics, work and energy, periodic motion and wave theory, electricity and magnetism, optics, relativity, quantum physics, and nuclear physics. These topics are presented in conjunction with real-world modeling exercises (dominion modeling) that reinforce a Christian worldview by demonstrating the relevance and validity of approaching science from a biblical perspective. The course is mathematically rigorous and algebra-based. The well-prepared student should have completed at least two years of algebra and one year of geometry instruction. In order to help students succeed, the necessary math skills are gradually introduced in a scaffold fashion, reinforced with numerous example problems.
